Moray Local was designed to provide information to both locals and non locals of products, services and activities available in Moray and the Moray Firth area. The concept was drawn from comments received that many search engines are too large to gain an effective search, especially on a local level.
Moray has a wide range of large and small businesses offering all that can be found in large cities but with personal and individual service. This site was set up to allow those businesses and others to promote themselves on the Internet for free to both a local and world-wide audience. It may seem too good to be true to received free advertising for some but this business model hopefully ensures many businesses advertise within the site. The submission of MorayLocal to the international search engines, allied with its design, increase the chances of businesses being found in the more global search. The site was designed from stage one so that major Internet search engines could catalogue every page and every entry within the site.
